The prize this week is the winners choice of 3 images from the Gerda's Doodles Store

I chose to use a cute little image for this week challenge, called "Mouse blowing Candle"

The challenge this week was to make a birthday card for a young child, si I thought a bit of interactivity was required.  This small card with the front and back measuring 4.5 inch square opens up left to right into a card that is 3.5 inches high and a whopping 34 inches wide.

I have kept it very plain so a child can play with it, coloured image with copic pens and he is supposed to be blowing not only the candle out but the letters over.   I diecut the letters with my Ecraft.

Joined up 3 long strips to create the base and then placed coloured cardstock on some pages, I lined up the smaller pages with the bottom of the front and back to enable the card to stand.  The letters were pasted on and then I added stickers here and there.  Glitter has been used on the lettering.

Cokoured with copic pens, I have added a Gold sticker sentiment.  I made a paper bow with my envelope maker and added a little flower.  Already packed with lots of goodies for someone special.

Springtime

While I enjoy the golden, red and purple hues of Autumn, the rest of the world seems to be looking forward to the green buds, soft blue skies and colourful flowers of Spring, where even the little critters come out of hibernation to look around.

Here is one such little fellow, coming out to see the flower, "Lovely Mouse is from the store of The Stamping Chef, look for him HERE.  You'll find some wonderful images in the store.

I have coloured the image with copic and kaiser kraft pens, I coloured and fussy cut three images and layered them with 3d squares.  The image has been layered with yellow ribbon and some yellow paper flowers, a thankyou sentiment completes my little card.

Wilkes the Pirate and Parrot Whiskers

Something a little bit different this time.  I love to do digital scrapping and I am on a couple of DT for wonderful digital images/kits.  With everyone going digital today, private invitations flying through facebook and other social media, mobile phones that can send photos, email invitations the list goes on,  I thought it might be fun to combine a digital image which I have coloured with copic pens and little bit of photoshopping to create a digital invitation that could be sent out electronically.

The image I have used is this months freebie at Lacy Sunshine, I love her girls and animals, but I really love the little fellows she is drawing, this one is called "Wilkes the Pirate and Parrot Whiskers", so so cute, check out the store HERE.  One of the good things about this project, after making the invitations, you still have a coloured image to make a matching birthday card. lol.  Normally I don't use watermarks, but I have this time as the invitation is completely digital.

This is the image once I have coloured it with copic pens. I used a lot of pen to give the image an intense colour.  The colours do alter once the image has been scanned to a computer
I scanned the image as a jpg file.  I created different coloured layers, placing the image on top, typed the invitation words and saved it all as a jpg.  If I was sending them out I would put more details regarding the party, but I was really happy with the result and might try a few more.  Just something a little different, saves on postage, hope you like it.

A 4 leaf Clover for Luck

This image is from Sami Stamps, check out the store HERE, it is called "Lucky Whiskers" coloured with copics, the clover also has glitter.  I stamped a sentiment on the cat's tale, which just seemd the perfect place for one.  I thought of a gift tag the moment I saw the kitten.

Always delighful images at Lacy Sunshine, this week I chose one of her animal images, "Cliff the Stork", always love that heather names her images.

Whenever I know someone is having a baby, I make up a hamper of wipes, cotton balls and buds, soap, creams, facewashers, could be some powder, all the little bits and pieces you need to survive those first few weeks.

This challenge gave me the opportunity to make a hamper for one of my nephews and his wife who are expecting their first child in a few months. I don't know if it is a boy or girl, and as he is one of 4 boys and mum to be one of 4 girls, the betting is probably 50/50.  So, this carry-tray has been made mainly in green, it does have blue rosebud paper on it as well, but blue is for boys and the little flowers will work with a girl no matter what colour.   All the papers and the Carry Tray come from Kaiser Craft, thie image has been coloured with copic pens.

Now will it be trimmed with BLUE
or with PINK
Ssssh! don't tell anyone, it's not finished yet, the spots on the stork's little bag will be coloured either blue or pink as will the outside trim and embellishments, round-about July, I will know which colour to use.

A Chorus Line.....

Sassy Showgirl is this months image for the Sassy FB Challenge, we had to use our favourite colour.  That has to be BLUE.

Check out the Sassy Store HERE.

I've done the colouring a bit differently this time.  First I multiplied the image and layered it so that I got 3 showgirls.  I then digitally coloured the blue outfits. Once I printed the image I then highlighted the frock and headpieces with blue Copic and Kaiser Kraft pens. Their skin, eyes and eye shadow are all coloured with copic pens.  Layered onto a blue card, added ribbon, flowers, gems and pearls to complete my Chorus Line.

My Sister is expecting a new grandchild in a few months time, now there is a 50/50 chance of it being a girl or a boy, the Mum is one of 4 girls, Dad is one of 4 boys and this will be their first born.  So what to do! make two cards of course.

The image is one that I won from Beccy's Place, check out her great store HERE.  The image has been coloured with Copic Pens, layered with designer paper, doily, ribbon gems and buttons.

The image on this card is one from Digi Darla called Ship 2, sadly this wonderful store is no longer operating.

I have coloured the image, very lighly with creams and blue for the water, I scalloped cut the bottom of the image and fancy cut the rest.  Added some silver trim, blue ribbon and buttons.  A sentiment in the top corner completes my masculine card.

Butterflies a Flutter

Sometimes some things just fall into place, I was putting this image of butterflies together, the large one has 3 layers, and I dropped the image onto some scrap paper that was on my kitchen bench (I was working there at the time), I really liked it, so I made the card a little smaller to accomodate the paper, then I added a little metal charm.

Smaller Buterflies have 2 layers
