Southern Girls - Glitter Sparkle

Sponsors at Southern Girls are

All Dressed Up

I am Roses

I received images from All dressed Up "Fairy Swing and Little Flower Fairy" and completed another Art Journal Page with a poem about The Buttercup Fairy."

I'm using a sketch book with 150gsm paper, so it is not shiny and white.  For this page, I pulled out a double page from the book, printed the verse and then covered with Fresco Chalk Paints.  The other side of the double page I printed the images and coloured them with alochol pens and fussy cut.

After adhering the cut image to the painted surface, I have added pen, glitter and marker for highlights.

I've used a combination of glues, paints, glitters, liquid pearls and markers to complete the page, then stuck it back into the book.  This is probably not the right type of paper to use, but I love the feel of this paper and love the effect once painted.

Crafter's Cafe # 219 Shaker or I spy something beginning with M

Lots to choose from this fortnight at The Crafter's Cage Challenge.

Two sponsors
 MY BESTIES

Prize 3 Images

AND

SCRIBBLES DESIGNS
Prize $10 Images, no digi paper

I chose " scann007 head" from My Besties to create an Art Journal/collage page for things beginning with M.  Then, as I was working on the design I found that I had won a randomly chosen prize at the Outlawz of 3 images from My Besties, so I chose more flower pots to complete the page, "Img 318 Dolls;  Img 319 Dolls and Bloomin Kittens.

Another page in my art journal, name things beginning with M.  Using a stencil I created a brick wall and coloured with fresco chalk paints.  All images have been coloured with Copic pens, liquid pearls, white gel pen and fussy cut.  Cardstock for the shelves, dies for the vine, fern and maiden hair.

Finished off with name tags and a quote tag.  Certainly not botanically correct, but worked for my page.

Another Quote Page

Saw this quote the other day and thought it was a great one to add to my book of quotes.  The image is from Julia Spiri and was the freebie she sent out to members of her VIP club.  If you are interested, check out Julia's FB page.  Stamps, Colouring Books by Julia Spiri

The image is called, " Clementine", coloured with copic pens and fussy cut.  In the image, on her cheek was a cog, so I have added a tiny metal watch cog.

The cardstock has been embossed with a cog embossing folder and lightly inked.   I have also added some diecut cogs.  The sentiment is from Mahatma Ghandi.

Unicorn Challenge Blog #43

This month we have a colour pallette at Unicorn Challenge Blog.  Pretty blossom colours.

I found the image in a Fairy Tale book and as the prince was dressed in the these colours it seemed appropriate to use the image.

The card has been made with cardstock from my stash (left over curved edging) , Kaisercraft and Stampin Up.

The curved edging on the pocket is a die from Heartfelt, the bookmark/tag is tucked into a pocket, it has 2 wooden and 4 handmade paper beads attached to the ribbon.  Sentiment completes the card.

Pearly Sparkles Challenge, May 2019 A SPECIAL CHALLENGE

A Tribute to Traci
A lover of Pink, Sparkly, Pearls and all animals especially her  dogs and little hedgehogs.

Sadly Traci who ran the Pearly Sparkles Challenge became ill in December 2018 and passed away in February 2019.  It was always fun to see what she was up to on FB and to hear about her animals.  I can still remember conversing with her over her little hedgehogs, something that where I live would not be permitted.  Cute and tiny they were fun to see and hear about.

I have loved being on her team for the past 2 years and will sorely miss her, Lisa is now going to continue the Pearly Sparkles Challenge in Traci's memory.

This month our challenge is a tribute to Traci, so get out your Pinks, anything Sparkly and Pearls and start creating.

I couldn't not go pass these images from Dilly Beans (store closed about 3 years ago) "Amalia and Crinkles" and "Crinkles"  all coloured with copic pens.  Cardstock and patterned paper from Stampin Up, pearls, glitter and tag from my stash.
