The image has been printed just a little bit over 2 inches high, so she isn't very big.  printed three times, once in mirror.  Two of the images have been coloured with Copic pens and a white gel pen to finish.

All three images have been fussy cut, with the two coloured images have a small sleigh bellss sewn into the hands.  The three images were then sandwiched together with glue and left to dry.  Once dry I punch a small hole in the bow and threaded through some red cord.

Six White Boomers

Six white boomers, snow white boomers
Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun.
Six white boomers, snow white boomers,
On his Australian run.

That is the chorus of a well known Australian Christmas Song about Santa using Kangaroos instead of Reindeer to visit Australia for Christmas, when it is the middle of summer and hot.

I haven't gone with white kangaroos, I've coloured them the more traditional colour.  I love this image and have made the card for a 4 year old.  Colouring the image with copics and touch pens, typed sentiments, glitter and liquid pearls complete the card.

Another Christmas Decoration

I started making these small decorations earlier in the year as a novelty, but they have come in hand, we now have a very small pup int he house and afraid our big tree might be a bit too much for her.  Definitely too much for me trying to decorate it and keep things away from her tiny paws.  So I bought a real small tree in a pot and placed it on a table out of harms way and the pups way as well.

This one is made from an image from The East Wind called Meowy Christmas.

Printed twice in mirror, (about 1.5 to 2 inches tall) then coloured with copic pens and fussy cut.   I use a glue stick to put them together, they dry hard.  Make a small hole in the top for something to hang them by.

Then comes the glitter, liquid pearls and glossy accents to complete the decoration.

This composite picture shows you both sides before the bling!
And her she is all dressed up in her glitter
(actually hanging on a garden tree to dry)

Our Christmas Present from Santa

This has been a long hard year for us with Mum being so ill and passing away at the age of 90.  In the midst of that sorrow we lost our little dog (11years old) from a sudden heart attack.  Perfectly healthy one moment, gone the next. It has been a long winter here and what seems a very very long year.

My husband has been desperate to find another dog, and at the weekend we found this tiny little puppy, who, withing 48 hours has taken control of the household. It doesn't take away the sorrow we will feel without Mum at Christmas this year, nor does she replace our little Sandy.  But she is the distraction we need, and she is dearly loved by all.

The kit I have used is from Scrap Kitchen Designs, called "Christmas Past"

The little mouse on the ground has been mounted with the tape.  The little mouse and the presents he is standing on have also been mounted with the tape.  And, he green present with the red ribbon mounted on top again.  (Hope that makes sense)

The Christmas Apple

The image is from "Dal Manto Russo"  I have digitally altered the image so that the baby Jesus is leaning out with the apple.

Here is the start of this beautiful Christmas Story, I do hope you will click and continue to read the full story.

THE  CHRISTMAS  APPLE
(Based on a story by Ruth Sawyer)
Once upon a time in GERMANY, there lived a little CLOCK-MAKER named Herman Joseph.  He lived in one little ROOM, furnished with a BENCH for his work and his tools, a CHEST for his wood, a CUPBOARD for his dishes, and a TRUNDLE-BED that SLID under his workbench.  Other than that, there was only a STOOL -- except for the CLOCKS that is.  There were HUNDREDS of clocks -- big clocks and little clocks -- clocks with WOOD faces and clocks with porcelain faces. There were SHELF clocks, grandfather clocks and CUCKOO clocks; clocks with CHIMES and clocks without chimes.  Everywhere you looked, there were clocks.
There was a little WINDOW in the front of Hermann's shop, with a shelf on it...  to continue the story click HERE

Crafter's Cafe #161 - Christmas Comes Early - 15/11//2016

Theme this fortnight is Christmas Comes Early - Create a Christmas/Holiday themed project,
and our great sponsors are:

Decosse's Dynamite Doodles
Prize: Tailored to each individual

Kitty B
Prize - 1 non coloured image

From Dynamite Doodles, I have chosen a Purple Paper from "A Grungy Christmas Pack";  Patterned paper from "Santa Kisses 3 x 3" and sentiments from "Christmas Time set 1"

First I have made a Digital Card for my friends on facebook.  I fell in love with this quaint picture when I first saw it, I cannot take any credit for the design, it is based on the design Lisa has for the paper set.  The top sentiment came with the sentiment set, the bottom sentiment is a type one.

This design is to be printed and made into a 5 x 5 card.
The sentiment is from the pack, and I changed it from black to white.

This is also to be printed, the sentiment and the little present are from the sentiment pack, the pale strips have been taken from between the pictures of Santa Kisses.

From Kitty Bee I received this cute penquin, "Santa Penquin"  Colourted with Copic pens and fussy cut, layered on to olal die cuts, lots of glitter for his hat, beard and snow.

Check out all the other Christmas inspiration at:

From Kitty B, I chose Santapenguin,
