How about another great Sketch

This one is from Digi Sketch Challenges (always great sketches) I have used Kraftcard for the card, brown cardstock and buttons, a Kaisercraft Die Cut and a ticket sentiment (I have moved the sentiment to the top of the card)

A Sketch

This card has been inspired by the sketch at Paper Players this week, I loved the idea of the tag on the front of the card.

I have used an image called cowboy 2, coloured the little fellow with copic pens and mounted the image on designer paper and green cardstock, all put onto a Kraft card. Added a gold sticker sentiment and buttons. The little tag has a birthday message.

I then decided I like the sketch so much I made another variation of it with spotted paper , diecuts from Kaisercraft and blue gems.
So simple yet so effective, definitely one of my favourite sketches.

A little bit more decoupage

This girft set comprises of a card and a gift bag.  The pre-coloured images are from Polka Doodles CD "Cherry Blossom Lane". I have printed the image multiple times, using decoupage on the bunny's skirt, her shopping bag and the flower on the bag.  Diecut some leaves for the card and added a fabric bloom.

Typed a sentiment for the bag and added some bling swirls.

http://buysassystudiodesigns.blogspot.com.au/

The theme this week is embossing and I got to play with Masquerade Ball.  I printed her twice, one image I coloured with Copic pens.

The other image I put through my Testure Boutique using a Sizzix dot embossing folder using hand made paper.  The result is that the image will shrink slightly, which let me leave her with some pink slip showing, (or if you wished tyou could cut the bottom off and have no slip showing.  Just another way to use embossing.

Added some gems and liquid pearls, mounted on designer paper, added a sentiment.

The theme for this week is HaHa Funny, very easy with so many funny Bugapoo images and sentiments, I used Gus Recount image and sentiment for the card, typed the numbers and sentiment straight onto the card, coloured Gus with Copic and Touch pens.

For my second project this week I chose a very cute cat, called Snack Cat from Oak Pond creations, very cute cat, but I think he has eaten too many of those cupcakes.  Coloured with Copic and Touch pens, added typed a sentiment.  I used a cream card and Polka Dot card for mounting.

The background polka dot card, I have had for a while, as I knew one day I would use it.  Here's a hint when you buy stamps/ stickers/embellishments always look at the packaging, this was the backing to a sheet of stickers.

Something Beautiful by Julie- DT Call for the new Besties 3D Deco Girls

I could not pass up this DT call, I love decoupage, and these cute images come in a sheet, with the different layers already coloured, all you have to do is cut them out and layer them, which is great for those who are not quite confident enough to try decoupage layering themselves.

They are by Sherri Baldy, check out her Etsy store HERE

This is the first time I have used one of the 3D sheets and I can say it was very easy to cut out and layer.  The only difference I did was on the top layer I cut out some of her petticoat to give it more layers, I also added some pink glitter to the petticoat as well.  I sculptured her pony tail and her bow. Rather than go all pink, I went with the green in her frock as the main colour, layered on top of pink for the card.  Added a gold sticker sentiment and a row of green and pink flowers.

Easel card with a twist

Delicious Doodles has a challenge for an Easel Card.  I have used an image from Delicious Doodles called Daisies+Butterfly, check out their store HERE.

This image seemed just right for the effect I wanted with my Twisted Easel Card, I printed the image twice, once right side up and once upside down, so I could achieve a mirror image on my card, Coloured with Copic pens, added some glitter to the Butterflies, I have also added to butterfly split pins.

I have lots of recipe books that I have collected over the years, some quite old.  A few years ago I decided to put our favourite recipes into two books, one for sweet dishes and one for savoury dishes, I wanted to make them journals as well, so filtered through the recipes you will find sketches, colouring, poems about food etc, an example would be this page which is a poem about Backyard Stew.
With this fortnights challenge included food,  I chose an image from Digital Stamps 4 Joy - Talk about Fast Food to add to my Recipe Journal, coloured with Copic pens, I keep things very simple and flat in the book, because I do you use it in the kitchen.   The sentiment comes from an advertisement about a sauce you can add to chicken.
