My Whimsical Little World

For my wedding card I chose Fairy Tangles image called "Forget me Nots Fairy"I have printed her twice and coloured her with copic pens.  I fussy cut one image and layered it over the other, this then allowed me to double her wing and give it some curves.

I have added blue gems down the side of the card and also for a butterfly trail.  Yellow liquid pearls and pen have been put into the centres of the flowers, which are die cuts, so are the stems and leaves.  Typed a sentiment.

Verse
For the inside of the card, I wrote a little poem, added some lace to the top and little forget me nots dotted around the page.
The forget Me Not symbolizes Faithful & True Love

In years to come do not forget the vows you said to one another

As you fall asleep each night do not forget to whisper I love You”

When the argument is over do not forget to shout I love you”

Grow these Forget Me Nots in your garden as a reminder of your Love for each other.

Imagine That May Challenge

Two wonderful Floral designs from Imagine That this month.  I decided to use the precoloured version, but there are also digital images for you to colour, sentiments also included in the sets.

I printed out each image twice on linen paper.  Fussy cut one around the whole image and then cut buds from the other print.

The sentiment I coloured digitally and printed straight onto white cardstock.

I cut three tulips placing two in the lower corner, layering the other onto a flower, the heart is also attached with 3d squares.

3 extra pansies have been cut, two layered onto the front of the card and one placed inside.

Robyn's Fetish Challenge #263 Lots of Layers - 10 May, 2015

Our sponsor this week is

KPM DOODLES
PRIZE: the winner’s choice of 2 sets from the KPM DOODLES STORE

You have to love KPM Doodles sets, so many images both jpg and png with which to play and they are great for collages. The set I have used for my wall plaque is called "Blue Birds" and our theme is Lots of Layers.

I have used one of each of the images in the Blue Bird Set and if I can count correctly, I have about 10 layers.

This is my Spring plaque, first thing I did was create a gradient of blue and green and placed the water fountain image on top, printed and coloured the flowers, grass, bird and water, glossy accents have been added to the water.  I left the fountain uncoloured.  Not sure about everywhere else, but where I live they are usually white.

I then printed and coloured with copics all the other images, which I fussy cut.  I used icypole sticks for the stands of the bird houses, placing a bird on top of the roof of one birdhouse and another at the bottom.  I cut the legs off the birds, I can cut a lot of things but they were all a bit too fine for me, so instead on the bird that is standing in front of the water fountain I drew long legs.  Cut out letters for the sentiment and added some blue flowers and lots of glitter.  Also used 3d squares to lift the flowers and sentiment off the page, which gave me another layer.

Robyn's Fetish Challenge #262 - Anything but a Card - 3 May, 2015

Our Sponsor thsi week is our very own
ROBYN’S FETISH
PRIZE: 3 images of the winner’s choice from the ROBYN’S FETISH DIGITAL STAMPS AND MORE STORE.

The challenge is Anything but a Card, How about an ATC, scrapbook LO, decoration, altered object, etc. but no cards!

I chose Granny Boot for my ATC, this image comes with a pair of boots  but I have only used one this time and turned it into a plant pot full of colourful roses.  I coloured the boot with copics, mounted onto designer paper which has been attached to a canvas based ATC, I needed to ensure it was strong enough.  Attached the boot with 3d tape and inserted the flowers and little twigs.  I'm thinking this would be a good one to either frame or put a magnet on the back so it can be displayed.

DSC May Challenge - April Showers bring May Flowers

****************************NEWS FLASH************************

Digitally Sweet have gone to monthly challenges.
Challenges will commence the 1st of each month, May will run from 1st - 30th May.

 Our first monthly sponsor is
Imagine That

For the month of May we got to play with 3 different sets from Imagine That. They all come with precoloured images as well as digi stamps for you to colour and lots and lots of sentiments.  I decided to use the precoloured versions and there is a bit of every set in this card.

The sets are called:
Ladybug/Daisies Planter
Lily's Flowers
Sunny Days

I have created this card from one A4 size card sheet.  The backgrounds are from Retro Designs "Daisy Kit" You can find her designs HERE

Once I had the backgrounds in place, I started adding the "Imagine That" images to create 3 separate panels. to create little scenes.  One set has rain drops, I have made them small so that they are coming from the watering can.  A different sentiment has been added to each panel.

When I was happy with the design, I printed out the sheet, scored between the panels and cut off the extra paper that was not required.  I then cut out 2 of the suns and one flower again, have a look below for the 3d effect.
Front of closed card
Card Open

Card wide open
This photo is showing the printed page which I have then scored.

Then I did some paper piecing, sun has been printed again and fussy cut, added to front of card with 3d squares.

But wait there is more, another paper pieced sun.
To finish off I paper pieced the round flower by cutting along the line and creating a spiral.
