Happy Birthday Dino Dude

My card for this month's Progressive Freebie challenge at The Outlawz, now running on different blogs.  https://theoutlawzchallenges-freebie.blogspot.com/

Fun image from Dr Digi, called "Stacy the Stegosaurus"

Having gotten a new printer a few months ago, the old one still worked, but after 14 years of good service not working as it used to in the past. So I have been experimenting with the new printer and for this card I printed the image onto some digital paper from Beccy's Place. also used one of her sentiments, adding dino.

Coloured with copic pens cut and layered onto a card base.

The Crafters Cafe Challenge #288 - 15th August 2022

This month we are celebrating "National Relaxation Day"

and joining with Double Trouble Challenge

Some background on relaxation day, which has been going for 37 years.

August 15th
Some background:  National Relaxation Day was founded back in 1985 by Sean Moeller. He was only a fourth-grader at the time. He suggested that on this date people should not do anything of real value.

We have two sponsors for this challenge

Sheepski Designs

and

Scribbles Designs

I chose an image from Scribbles designs, called Cozy.  Firstly I created some background paw prints and the sentiment.  The image has been coloured with copic pens.

Always thought I would have plenty of relaxation when I retired, yet I seem to be twice as busy.  Lets hope the recipient of the card has more luck.

A Place to Start - 1st August 2022

This was my place to begin......

This month trying to use use a new technique.  I saw this many years ago, and thought I would try it, I need lots and lots more practice.

I found an old children's book where the scenes could be cut around to give a 3d effect.  Hard to explain, but looking at the castle page, I have the back page with the person and dog looking over something, I cut around the outer page section of the castle, leaving the spine side still intact.

A couple of pages further back I found another picture of the castle, again cut around the castle outer page side, this gave me a 2d effect of the castle.  Then the people were another page, same technique.  The left hand page was a lot more difficult and could be a lot better, still trying to work out what to do with the middle section, I should have done more pages, but was not confident enough. but I will give this another go through the year, once I find the right book.
