CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGES

This card incorporates 2 images, I have used the base of a blank snow globe from Crafty Anns and "Pealets" stamp from Just Some Lines.  And, this is why I love hybrid.  I found I had run out of a copic I wanted to use, so I coloured the image digitally, I then created a digital snowglobe to go over the image, added a star background that I had created last Christmas, digtially colour the base of Crafty Anns snow globe added them together and printed.  Cut out image, edged with stamps, mounted on some holly paper and added a gold Merry Christmas.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE No 9

A group of snowglobes with Santa from Crafty Ann's, I chose the one with the Weight Watches in the caption, and have already given it to the lady who conducts the WW meetings I attend.  And yes it does work, I have lost heaps, but back to this very cute card.  Coloured in copics, moulded into a slightly rounded shape, added some holly, which was green card coloured with copic and the berries are some red gems,  had a good laugh whilst completing the card.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE No 9

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE NO 9

Round 9, where has the time gone, Christmas only a few days away and life is deliciously frantic.  Love it!
First Image I have used is from Digistamps 4 Joy "Button Bear with Christmas Tree".  I have made this a combined Birthday and Christmas card in one for a younbg lady who happens to celebrate her birthday on Christmas Day.  Inside the card reads "That doesn't sound right!, How about Happy Birthday and A Merry Christmas, have a great 25th December.  Image is painted with Copics and I have done an alcohol treament on the bear to give him some texture.  Added some glittery decorations to the tree and mounted on cardstock.

Federation Square - 1st December 2011

On Thursday my daughter and I went into Melbourne to catch the Dolly Parton show, had a great time.  But first we went to Federation Square for dinner.  The had rows and rows of pine trees on the square, it looked magical, luckily I had my camera with me, here is a page using a paper and element from "Retro Designs" Golden Memories Kit

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGES No 8

Last cards for this round are with an image of a young lady and a fish bowl, image is by "Guylous Inimitability"
Couldn't make up my mind how to colour this image, so I did one in Copic (green frock) and another with pencils (red frock), as I like both I created two cards.  Both simple cards, but in contrasting colours, image great for any occassion.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGES No 8

Next card has some cute fishes they are by "McMahon Five Designs".  I printed some on the card for a background.  Coloured two with pencils and mounted them on the card.  I have added some blue gems for their bubbles.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGES No 8

My second card has a very cute lady and dog and is by "Jens Digi Stamps"  Had to give this gal lots of pizzazz.  Painted with Copic, and created the brick wall also with Copic.  Added a flower to her hair and of course to her dogs hair as well, gave her a gem necklace to complete her outfit.  I did two copies of her legs and mounted them for depth.  Used some bright purple foil paper and pink paper to mount the image.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE No 7

Another card for the challenge, this time with a sentiment from Sending Treasures (Have a Fabulous Birthday).  I should have gone out side to take the photo, it is a bit dark.  But very windy here so it wasn't really an option.
I started out by printing a fancy sign holder onto the card, then I printed the words on some card and stuck them on to look like the signs, went over the sign holder with a silver pen and, found some stickers in my stash.  Simple but I think the balloons lift the whole card.

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge No 6

My last entry is a Polar Bear image from Designed 2 Delight.  Had a bit of fun with him, in Australia we usually have a very hot Christmas and a lot of people would be doing this....  He is coloured with Copic Pens, digital background and ball also digitally created.  Hope you can see his sunburnt face.  lol.

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge No 6

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge No 6

Third Image was of a cute Elephant from Inked Treasures.  Image has been coloured with Copic Pens, I have added some balloons that I had in my stash and now have a Birthday Card.

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge No 6

My second card has been created with some beautiful candles by Daisy Doodles.  I printed the image twice, once to colour in Copic and once for colouring with pencils.  I cut the holly from the pencil coloured sheet and added it to the copic candles for some dimension.  I then decorated the candles with some bits and pieces.  The candles that were left after the holly was cut off, were then shortened and added to the inside of the card.

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge No 5

This is my last card for round 5, I had no idea how I was going to use this image, until I remembered a nursery rhyme.  The cookie image is from Digidrawn.  On the front of the card I created a cookie jar and digitally coloured the cookie image.  I have then printed the image again and cut out one of the cookies and coloured with pencils and blended with baby oil, I did the came with the insert.  I am so happy with the way these cookies have turned out, they are smartie cookies and just baked to a golden brown.  The children come from the Digital Two for Tuesday site and are called sew 9, I have printed the children going all around the outside of the card, to give the impression of them dancing and singing the tune.

CDAC Progressive Challenge No 5

Mr second card used the little bunny by Digis by Phooka, I again coloured digitally in cool colours, added a pompom to the hats and gave each little bunny a songbook.  My little carollers are standing amongst some little christmas stickers.  The card is green, although it looks lemon in the photo.

CDAC Progressive Freebie Challange No 5

This time we have been asked to have at least two of our projects using the cool spectrum of the color wheel.

As we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, the Turkey Image by Sew Many Cards looked like a great challenge for me.  I digitally coloured the turkey and then highlighted and shadowed the image using pencils.  The message inside this card reads "Missing you,  get well soon" I think I definitely got the cool spectrum on this card.

CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE 2 CHALLENGE

2nd Challenge at CDAC, couldn't make my mind up and so I made two cards.  Although the them suggested was Back to School, it didn't have much relevance in Australia, as we are only coming up to third term holidays here.  So I went with Birthday and Get Well cards.

Happy Birthday card uses 'Angel Heart Girl with Glasses' by Tortgialla, I have used Copic to colour her, and sent her of to the party in her best frock, her Elton John glasses and of course her present of a bunch of flowers.

'Madison' by Stamp n Doodle is off to visit someone not well.  And taking an apple for them, inside is an apple tree and  the 'An apple a day keeps the doctor away' verse

Thought I would try my hand at the progressive challenge at CDAC as I was going to be away from my computer a bit and it gave me a chance to do hands on again.

The digi stamp is called 'Olly in Tub' by A Fenton - cute little girl.  I have used Copic Pens to colour the image and some glitter for the sudsy foam.
