With all the challenges mentioning Halloween, it must be close.  We don't celebrate Halloween but I do make the occasional card, this one will go into a journal and I will write what we did on 31st October this year.

The image is from Di's Digis and is called "Pumpkin Boo", coloured with Little Tipsy pens and fussy cut, layered onto black cardstock, small silver stickers complete the card.

Southern Girls - Critter Crazey - 18 Oct, 2018

Our sponsors at Southern Girls Challenges are:

Krafter's Cart

 and

All Dressed Up.

I have used an old image from All Dressed Up called "Butterflies.  The background has been painted with Fresco Finish chalk acrylic paints, I have only just started using these paints, I love the fact they dry so quick, but the feel once dry is soft like chalk but of course doesn't rub off.  Not many colours at this stage so I used blue called Bora Bora and Pinky red called Bougainvillea to create the different purple shades. The image has been coloured with Little Tipsy pens, the top butterfly I have printed, coloured and fussy cut, mounted with 3d dimensions.  Added glitter, gems and sentiment completes the card.  don't know why, but I always find purple and green together are a tranquil combination.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #206 Feminine - 15/10/18

This fortnight at The Crafter's Cafe we have three great sponsors

SHEEPSKI DESIGNS
 Prize 3 images
MY BESTIES

Prize:  3 images
POLKADOODLES

Prize: 3 digis worth £6.75
I received an image from Polkadoodles called, Ruby Oo-la-la, isn't she cute.  I decided after next year's long winter (winters are always long for me)  Ruby was just what I wanted at the start of Spring to give me a boost.  So, I have used her for my Spring reminder in my 2019 organiser.

Coloured with Little Tipsy pens, Ruby is dressed in yellow and green, because my first hint of spring, is to see the wattle trees bloom, once in full bloom it is like looking at trees of sunshine.  Fussy cut and layered onto Stampin up paper.
And, I used my new Dial A Crop,  I have had a single hole punch for years and years, think it cost a couple of dollars, sadly it gave up and wouldn't work, so, I decided to go strong and hopefully never have to buy another one.

Check out the Challenge blog for lots of inspiration

Birthday card for Hubby

This delightful "Dreamy Fox" is from MMedelillustions.  The image is the one I received for the Monthly Progressive Challenge at The Outlawz.

It is my husbands birthday at the end of October and thought it would make a fun card for him, which I know he will enjoy with a good laugh.

The image is coloured with copic pens (note the rouge and lipstick) and fussy cut (added some glitter to the tail as well).  I typed the greeting onto patterned paper and then layered it up on to a card base.  Added a little red glitter heart to complete the card.

Brown Sugar #283 Autumn

Our sponsor this month is

Our theme is Autumn and where I live is 5 days into Spring.   What to do?

Over the past few years my youngest grandson always made a diary at school, which he would given me for Christmas each year. Last year the children didn't make them (shame on the school).  So, instead of going out and buying one I struggled on through 2018 with notes on paper in notebooks etc. thinking that it would work.

Hell no! I have been chasing my tail all year, so decided to go and get a planner ready for 2019.  You will probably see it show up on this blog every now and then.

Here is a divider, for when I enter Autumn on the 1st March next year.

I have used an image from Time for Tea called, Fall Leaves.  Coloured with Little Tipsy, cut and diecut edging of cross stitch (Stampin Up) added.

Simply Create Too # 143 - Shaker Card.

Great news today, I have been accepted to join the Design Team at Simply Create Too, this is a monthly challenge.  I am on the Blue team, and you will see my designs on the odd numbered challenges.

I think I have only ever made 3 shaker cards, this one being my 3rd, so I was out of my little comfort zone straight away.

I have a daughter in law who is a Stampin-Up demonstrator and she has introduced me to their products, which I have used in my shaker card.

Trying to be a little bit different, I have used a stamp and die for a mason jar, side on to hold a little wooden boat. But I have also made the bottle see through.

Hope you like it, I'm thinking maybe I should try some more shaker cards.

Tag Time

I have just found these wonderful Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics, have been doing some Art Journal pages and just love the finish.  But not wanting to waste any of the paint, any left over, I scrape onto some scrap cardstock, to use at a later date.

For the tag, I used a couple of the paints and scraped across the surface with a plastic card adding some silver edging and sentiment.  The flowers have been made using some left over cardstock that I have been using for the left over paint.  Stamped and Punched, adding glitter to complete the card.
