CHNC Christmas #422 No Sentiment

I love this Santa, it is from Createful Heart, Checking it Twice, it was one of the images I won from Mary a couple of months ago.

The background and skin of Santa has been coloured with copic pens, then die cut. For his hair and beard I have used liquid pearls and some kindy glitz Crystal.  His cuffs are also in the Kindy glitz crystal.  the nib of the pen is gold paint.

I have added red cardstock, green polka dot paper, doilies and ribbon.  In the bottom corner are some punched branches for holly and red gems for the berries.

Cute Bear Love

Cute image from Sheepski Designs this month at The Outlawz Freebie Progressive Challenge for January. Called Love Bear, I coloured the word Love and the hearts only.  I also added a few hearts beside the word.  Sweet image, it looked lovely just in black and white.

My Craft Room

I don't buy colouring books or pages, haven't for many many years.  In my late teens and early twenties my girlfriend and I would spend many quiet hours colouring in colouring books. Long before it became fashionable and  then only in children's colouring books as that was all that was available.

In fact, my girlfriend still colours in the books with her pencils.

I was on Facebook the other day and saw a new image from Julie Spiri, called Craftroom.  And I knew I had to get it, the result is a collage wall hanging for my craft room.

I printed the image as 11 inches x 16, in three sections and then some parts again. Each section was coloured with copic pens, then cut at the bottom, so the frame only overlapped in certain places.  The whole image, once put together was layered onto a thick manilla folder

This is photo overload, but I can explain each section, I have paper pieced and added many elements.
My Craft Room

Top shelf - The roof line, front paper and jars are all paper pieced. Gold ink for the bottle label, black gem for the nail holding the sign.

Suitcase and front envelope are paper pieces, the little jar of glitter, has ad glitter and a transparent layer of window cardstock from Stampin up over the top to create a glass jar. Suitcase also has added gold ink.

Flower and mug both paper pieced and mounted.

Tape and Album paper pieced, silver edging added to thick book.

Chest and front of scissors barrel have been paper pieced.  Gold ink and black marker added to the chest.

This photo shows a button added to the jar.  Small flower also added.

Jars near the paint and lid of jar paper pieced.  Fabric added to the baskets. Little white glitter hearts have been added in different places through out the craftroom.

The little cotton reel is wound with embroider cotton.

Paints and copic containers are paper pieced.

Sewing machine and fabric are paper pieced, the machine is stuck not with glue, the bottom of the fabric with 3d dimensions, there is also a silver edging added to the fabric.

And finally, a bumble bee photobombing a closeup.

Southern Girls Challenge 24 Jan, 2019

The current challenge at Southern Girls is "Love is in the Air"

Great sponsors for the challenge

I received "Best Friend Hug" from Liastampz and thought it was perfect for my daily diary.  I am not really into pink and I wasn't sure about a planner that did not have the days numbered.  But it was on special, the price was way down, so I thought why not.

Now I love it, it is compact enough to leave around, leather (faux)wrap around cover with an elastic band to hold it shut.  What I really really like about little diary, is I can leave the current page open, close the inside flap over it and it is always at the page I want.

The image has been coloured with copic pens and fussy cut.  Glued to the cover.  Washi tape, flowers and some of my messy writing (I have amazing biros that write on anything and do not smudge) completes the cover.  Now I feel it is mine.
