Cute designs equal cute Halloween

This weeks sponsor is Whoopsi Daisy

The winner of this weeks challenge will receive
3 sheets of their choice from The Whoopsi Daisy Store

I had lots of fun working with this image, one of 4 on the Halloween sheet.  A lot of Whoopsi Daisy images also come precoloured, if you are in a hurry that can help.  This time I coloured the witch with Copic and Touch pens and added some glitter to her clothes.  I embossed the back sheet, added some shapes distressed with gold ink, flowers, gems, ribbon and purple mesh tied into a bow.  Added a typed sentiment to complete the card.

Brown Sugar # 65 - Autumn

I received a beautiful image called "Bird House Swirls" from Stitch Bear this week to use in the Autumn challenge at Brown Sugar.  It is a very delicate image more like a doodle sketch and I wanter to keep it light and delicate.  I printed the image in two or three oranges, so there would be no black in the image.  Then I couloured different parts of the image with Copic/Touch and Kaiser pens.  I cut away the edges of the images to loosely follow the vines around the image.  Mounted on 3 different autumn coloured papers, added an apricot rose and a little wooden bird.

Card Crafters Circle Challenge # 98 - Autumn Splendour

As a member of the Design Team for Robyns Fetish Challenge, I was invited to be a GDT for Card Crafters Circle this week. How lucky am I?  I have used an image from Robyn's Digital Stamps and More Shop called " Basket of Apples", my favourite fruit, eat tons each year.

http://robynsfetish.com/shop/
First an explanation about the sentiment

she's apples

Australian/NZ informal used to indicate that everything is in good order and there is nothing to worry about. [from apples and spice or apples and rice, rhyming slang for 'nice']
I've made it for my hubby's birthday (today) as he is always using rhyming slang.

Coloured with Copic Pens, I fancy cut the image. Used a cream coloured card, with orange cardstock, then a little hint for next time you have to wander around the hardware store, check out the paint samples, yes, you guessed it, the yellow card is actually a paint sample card.  Typed the sentiment and mounted onto orange cardstock as well.

The Colours of Halloween

This card has an image from Pink Gem Designs called Dillon with the Watering Can ( I have cut of his wings and the watering can for this card.

I coloured the image with copic and touch pens, added some glitter to his tummy.  I used a glossy purple card, added black, orange and purple cardstock.  The black is attached in 4 separate places across the card,  this is to allow three small tags to be placed on the card, which can be pulled out and pushed in.

The tags have been coloured with copic pens and inks of various shades, then each one stamped with a sentiment on one side and a small image on the reverse.  Some added ribbon and green pearls complete my card with tags.

It must be Halloween

Halloween has never been very big in Australia, but the stores are definitely pushing more and more merchandise each year, so who  knows maybe, one day, it will be just as big here as it is in other parts of the world.

This post highlights two Halloween projects I have completed, the first a card, the second a treats bag.

My trick or treat card features a witch with a rat, a sketch of my own, she has been coloured with Copic pens.   I have used her before a couple of years ago, but thought she could do with an update. so I have given her some glitter and gems, a new card and ribbon.

This is my treats bag with an image from Scrappers Delights called The Mummy, an image I recently won, you can find her HERE.  The bag has been made from an envelope, the Mummy is coloured with Copic pens, I've given her a black safety pin to get her bandages in order and aded a ribbon to the side of  the bag.  Filled the bag with goodies, now have to see if anyone knocks on the door.

Easy Male Card

Here is a quick 5 minute male card, I have used black cardstock for the card, used some Digital Alpha stamps to spell out Happy Birthday, on this particular card I have coloured some parts of the sentiment digitally, but you can also use other mediums for a splash of colour.  I've used blue and for the inside I reduced the size and printed in black only, you'll see the blue became a gray (a light shade of black).

This particular Alpha is from KPM Doodles, called Alphabet Soup stamps and can be found HERE.  If you are looking for some different Alphas, check Pininterest for some ideas.

Crafters Cafe Challenge # 33 - How Adorable

I got to play with a very cute Koala from QKR Stampede this week, called 'Hug Me', you can find him and lots of other cute images HERE.

Coloured with copic pens, the fur on his hat and pompom have been given some texture with white liquid pearls, some glitter on the holly.  Real eucalypt (gum) leaves, and gumnuts for his background.  When I saw this image I thought of the kids when they open their arms to express something as so big, and that is what the sentiment is all about.

Fat-Tastic Tuesday # 5 - Autumn

I was lucky enough to choos an image from Eureka Stamps this week for my fat page, I chose a cute design called Leaf Ride, look for it HERE

I have coloured the image with Copic pens, printed the image twice and I have layered the leaf for dimension.  Embossed the backing with a leaf pattern, which I have added ink and some gold pencil highlights.  The other leaves on the page are from the same embossing pad, inked and coloured.  Added a Treats sentiment, because I think it would be a treat to ride in a leaf, and maybe they are off for a spot of trick or treating, the sentiment is ribbon.

The theme this week is for square cards only - I received a cute image from Paper Pretties called Helium, you can find him HERE

Our Sponsor this week is Paper Pretties

The winner of this weeks challenge will be able to choose 6 digital stamps
from the Paper Pretties Store

I used Copic Pens to colour the image and layered him on two blue squares, then layered a white 5x5 card with silver cardstock.  I let the balloon float above the card so that it stood, placed one of the hearts on the silver and added a sentiment.  This is going to a little boy who is turning 1 very soon.

Rubber Stamps Only

Firstly a confession, I don't like using clear/rubber stamps and do it rarely, why? because I have loads of trouble getting a crisp clear image.  This ATC uses clear stamps only, from Crafters Companion.  I have coloured the boot with Copic pens and layered onto green cardstock.
