Robyn's Fetish Challenge # 218 Stripes or Dots - 29 June, 2014

Our sponsors this week are Broken Box Stock
This weeks prize is the winner's choice of 3 digital stamps
EXCEPT SETS from the Broken Box Stock store.

I chose "Garden Toodle" for my 'Dots or Stripes project.  The image has been coloured with Copic, Touch and KaiserCraft Pens.  The water has been highlighted with blue liquid pearls.  I've cut the image square on 2 sides and scalloped the other sides,  Glitter has been added to the bee, and I have added some grass tufts to the lawn.  Mounted on designer paper. Scalloped edges have been added to both the front and inside of the card, because the front of the card has been cut shorter than the back it allows you to see both scallops.  The little buttons (don't know what else to call them) have been added to the scallops and to the flowers in the image.  A gold sticker sentiment completes the card.

Brown Sugar Challenge #100 - 27 June, 2014 - Colour Challenge

Our Challenge this week is sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Images.

I chose Mouse Balloons, I have used Copic/Touch and Kaisercraft pens to colour the image, I printed an extra balloon, to complete my off the page card.   (it's the green one at the back).  Once coloured I cut the image so that the balloons were poking out.  I then cut the background card and card to match the image shape (the backs of the balloons have also been coloured), so when you open the card you still see the coloured balloons floating upwards.

The Crafters Cafe, 25 June - Polka Dots and Ribbons

Our sponsor this week is The Stamping Boutique.

I chose to create a card with "Little Girl with a Stroller".  Perfect little image for paper piecing with designer papers and lots of ribbon.

The Hat, dress, shoes, bows and stroller are all paper pieced.

And inside a totally contrasting colour.

Christmas Time

Snowglobes hold a special place in our family, Santa started bringing one each year to our daughter when she was 3, she was so careful with it, he bought her one each year thereafter, until she got too big for Santa and we started giving her one each christmas.  Now a mother herself, she has quite a collection, not one is the same and though most are now packed away, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without her snowglobe.

This cute snowglobe is from Digi Stamps 4 Joy.  It is the freebie for this months Christmas Challenge.  Coloured with Copic Pens, lots of liquid pearls, I printed twice and added the postbox with 3d squares.  Mounted on a doiley over blue designer paper which I have added glitter and some gold sticker edging, all on a Kraft Card.

I got to play with an image from The Stamping Chef this week, some of my fasvourite images come from this store, this one is called  "You're Koalafied".  Perfect for an Aussie.

I actually got to hold a koala too many years ago for me to mention, check out the photo below, yes that's me!  Holding a Koala is not something that we can do anymone, which is sort of sad, as it gave those of us who were lucky enough to come into close contact with our native animals are greater appreciation for their uniqueness.  They are warm to hold, but they are also heavy, this one was a large adult.

In Australia our official sporting colours are green and gold, taken from the Golden Wattle our national flower, I've chosen to use these colours as my patriotic colours for this week, check back next week and I will have something Red, White an Blue.

The image has been coloured with Copic Pens, mounted on designer paper.  I have added some small branches, using a Martha Stewart punch, coloured pearls with a copic pen to create some stylisitic wattle. Added a sentiment well known here.  Inside more of the same paper and the senttiment that came with the image.

My Attempt at Gothic

I love to see someone dressing Gothic but I'm afraid it's not my style.

Here I have attempted a Gothic Bride.  Dressed in Black and Murple/Mauve, carrying her friend.  The image is from Lacy Sunshine and is called, "Maddie and Clover".  Coloured with Copic and Touch Pens, I have printed the image twice, and instead of just cutting out her hat, I cut her hair and hat out of one of the images, to give the hair some dimension. Some black lipstick and purple eyeshadow.

I have added some really close up photos to show what I have done, you can certainly see the imperfections in your colouring when you blow up the photos. lol. Added some mauve webbing for her veil.

Does Girly mean going Pink!

This gorgeous image is called Serenity, I chose it as part of a prize I won recently. Serenity is by DigiStamps4Joy.  Check out the store lots of wonderful images.

Serenity has been coloured with Copic and Kaisercraft Pens, cut around the edges, layered on a doily and Kraft card with flowers added to complete the card.  Not one bit of pink on my feminine card (not really a favourite colour of mine), but I thought the softer browns and greens suited her and her name.

Grandpa

I'm in a House Mouse monthly creation swap, this month we had to make a card for a male with the little mice, I have scanned and shrunk the little mice to go with the Dr Digi image, "Pefect Sunday".

I have used paper strips to make the herringbone bakckground, the really dark brown stipes are ribbon.  Used some hessian and little buttons also.  The image has been coloured with Copic/Touch and Kaisercraft pens.  Hope my swap partner likes her little mice card.

Daffodils

Daffodils have a number of meanings, I love that they symbolise rebirth and new beginnings, in Australia we have daffodil day for Cancer research also.   When I see them pop their yellow heads up in my garden, I know winter is saying goodbye and Spring is waving a colourful cheery Hello.
I chose this lovely bunch of daffodils sitting in a teapot for a prize I recently won.  They are from Beccy's Place, check out her store HERE

Coloured with copic pens, layered on a doily and designer paper, I have also added a butterfly.
