This week our challenge is Anything Goes with the option "include a house or other building"

This week's Christmas card features a Beach Hut from Spyders Stamps.
Lots of people are at the beach through Christmas here, so I chose the Beach Hut as my building, coloured with copic pens, fussy cut, I have added a wreath and Santaa sign.  The sun is a sticker from Flourish with A Bling, sadly no longer operating.

The Crafter's Cafe #240 - 15th April, Flowers

The sponsor at Crafter's Cafe this fortnight is:

SheepskiDesigns

I chose Daisy Panel to create a picture.  This is something I haven't done for quite a while, but hey! nothing much else to do a the moment except housework.

The drawing is quite intricate and there were small parts I needed to black out.  The technique is silver paper art.  Over many years I have asked family and friends to save the silver paper from their households easter eggs.

The process is tracing an image on glass, for me this time is it was the Daisy panel.  I used a black permanent marker for the tracing, then you need to blackout around the image and in between so that only the outlined image shows through the glass, for this I used black warercolour paint from a tube.  (not the pan paint)

Using different coloured silver paper and ordinary sticky tape, you then collage the colours as to where you need them.  Remember when you are placing the silverpaper you are working from the front to the back (e.g. flower centres go on first, then the petals)

The process is not hard, I was taught when I was young, using a colouring book image to trace.

Bookmark time

Haven't made a bookmark for ages, seeing our little dog was taking great delight in chewing them up, I gave up.  Now 3.5 years old,and still tiny, her habit of eating paper does seem to have slowed down.

The image on the bookmark is from Star Stampz and called Red String and is this months freebie for the Outlaws Monthly Freebie Progressive Challenge.

I added a little quote, image is coloured with copic pens and on the back of the bookmark, I listed some literature with Felines mentioned in their titles.

Now to see if it stays safe for this little bundle of 2.5kg of mischief.

Owl Perch

This image popped up on my FB feed and a big thank you goes to Gary Laib for Owl Perch, who let us have it as a freebie.  Check out his amazing drawings HERE

I have added the image to my bullet diary - a reminder that we need to be silly and ridiculous at times.

I used one of my favourite quotes from BFG.

The image has been coloured with copic pens and fussy cut, layered onto hessian and corrugated cardboard with other textures also attached.

Thought the image and the quote went with the Bullet diary quote for the month. And as I am left handed, I am probably more often left instead of right.

Both images have been coloured with copic pens and fussy cut.  You could call it a double and a half layout.

The male bunny is on a folded page, pull his tail and you will see the girl bunny and then see that they are doing the right thing by social distancing.

Mermaids

Here is my project for The Fairy and The Unicorn challenge for 4th April.  I have to admit I am in love with the mermaids that can be found at "Chubby Mermaid".

I had this little wooden notepad holder that I have been wanting to upcycle, so with a little bit of mixed media and some very cute mermaids I created this wall hanging.

The mermaids have all been coloured with copic pens, glitter, and liquid pearls.  Fussy cut, a attached to the wall hanging.

The cordlike netting was already on the notepad holder as where some of the shells., I have added some gold and glitter to them.  I have added more shells. The background is tissue paper, glue and acrylic paints.  I have also added some gold micro beads (now if you think glitter goes everywhere, these tiny beads so go everywhere.  The sentiment came with one of the mermaids.

The Crafter's Cafe #239 - 1st April Anything Goes

Another month and we have another Anything Goes at the Crafters Cafe.

Sponsors are
Bugaboo Stamps

and
 Decosses Dynamite Doodles
I made two projects for the challenge, the first is a small gift bag, with Bobble Head Rabbit from Bugaboo.  Firstly I covered the bag with some blue floral paper and coloured the image with copic pens and fussy cut, I printed the head a second time and once coloured, attached it to the image with a bobble spring.  Small flower completed the bag, big enough for some of those small Easter eggs.

For my second project I used some freebies from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, check out her blog as she has a lot.

I created a digital card for March and St. Patrick's Day with an Irish Blessing.

From Decosse's I used May Paper embossed white and green  Paper and an Ornate lock.  The ricrac is mine as are the shamrocks.  The strawberries come from April Staker
