In the PINK

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the time of the year I get my annual results.  Yahoo!!!! all clear again.  It is always a tense time for all cancer sufferers when they have to have their follow up tests and I am no different.

I have a small art journal where I do a page every now and again, here is this years October page.

The image is from The East Wind called, Ashley in Pink.  She has been coloured with copics and fussy cut, the back ground is different inks, pens, diecuts, bits and pieces I had lying around.

Autumn Wishes

The image on this card is from Bugaboo called "Autdeer".  Coloured with copic pens and layered onto coloured cardstock.

I gave the deer a red shiny nose, because I was thinking of Rudolph frolicking in the forests before winter set in and he had to help Santa.  (He just looked like a Rudolph - sometimes my mind works in mysterious ways - especially if I have a lot going on and I did when I coloured this cute image lol.)

LOTS OF PINK

I received two great images for our pink challenge

First up is "Underland Caterpillar" by My Stitch Back in Twine.

I use double sided tape for most of my products, which leaves little bits of curly paper everywhere, also I often have to cut slithers of paper to get exactly the size I want, this leaves little bits of paper everywhere.  My Hubby shakes his head and says another mess. (I admit I have a lovely large craft room, but I tend to drift to the kitchen/lounge room etc and can leave a trail.)

So I have decided to make a little rubbish bin that can fit just about anywhere.  I have recycled a plastic flour jar.  Painted with acrylic paints, I left the top and bottom clear for a very good reason.  So I can see how full the jar is getting and when it is ready to empty, also so anyone else can see the mess inside and know knock to knock it over.  That is theory anyway.

Underland caterpillar has been coloured with copic pens and fussy cut, I've added a bow, butterfly and a caterpillar sentiment.  Now sitting proudly and brightly on my craft desk.

My next project is a card using "Mirror Mirror" from All Dressed Up.   Coloured with copic pens and die cut, I have added a pink butterfly and roses to complete my pretty in pink card.

Digitally Sweet #155 - October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month Use PINK

It is that time of the year again, our sponsor this month is  DS4Joy and I chose a precoloured image called "Ankle Deep" to create an October message.

The background has been created with a gradient, and I have added lots of elements from my stash to make a pretty scene for the little girl.

CHNS Patterned Paper October Challenge

The paper is from Stampin Up, the image is from Zuri, she is called Cathie.

Cathie has been coloured with copic pens and fussycut, her red shoes have a layer of glossy accents to give them a patent leather look.  The papers have been cut with a stitched rectangle die, the sentiment has been stamped.
