Southern Girls Challenge - Flower Power - 27/7/17

The sponsor for today's challenge at Southern Girls is
Krafters Cart

My card for the Flower Power challenge features an image from Polkadoodles called, Daffodil Darling.

I have used the precoloured version, layered it with a shadow onto some Polkadoodles green patterned paper, printed and diecut.  A stamped sentiment completed the card.

It just didn't look complete, and I knew I had a wonderful daffodil in my stash (but it was a bit too thick for my liking), I dissected it and then put it back together in a flatter version.  That's better!

This card features an image from DigiStamps4Joy, called "Wise King".

I have used 8 different papers for their clothing, the skin, beards, shoes and bottles have all been coloured with copics.  Pencils have been used for shadows.  Gold sticker edging, glittery sentiment, stars and liquid pearls complete the card.

You are My World Note Book

Another notebook altered cover and bookmark today.  I have used the precoloured versions from Imagine That called, "You are my world with Tree" and You are My World with Hearts.

Die cut with a stitched die, and layered onto coloured cardstock with red polka dot ribbon.  The cover also has a die cut branch and owls.

If you haven't seen these before, I decorate small notebooks which I give to a child's charity each year.  So I try to keep them simple and fairly flat.

Floral Birthday

This card has been made with things from my stash.  Recently we had new cupboards installed and I had to go through a lot of boxes in my craftroom.  I came across these flowers which had been coloured with copic pens ages ago, at least a couple of years ago.  And.  I also came across some white cardstock I had embossed with ink even further back in time.

I have fussy cut the flowers and also cut between some of the petals for definition and layered with 3d dimensions onto the embossed cardstock.  Added a rubber stamped sentiment and all onto a green card.

I'll have to keep looking through my boxes now for more little treasures.

A little note card

Anne's Digital Art image called Dog features on this card, and it is the image for this months progressive challenge at Outlawz.  I am attempting to make some very flat cards that will be going overseas.  Not sure if this has worked, but I'm sure I will get better.

The dog has been coloured with copic pens and fussy cut  (thinking now I should have cut to the line and used a marker to give him a shadow), I have added a die cut fence and tree all glued to the patterned background paper.  I have used a marker to give the tree some definition.  Completely blank inside as it is meant for letter writing.

Shaker Card

My very first shaker card.  I wasn't sure about how to make these cards, had a look at a couple of tutorials and then went my own way.  I think I should have a thicker part behind the frame, as the pieces do shake but sometimes get stuck.  But just the same I am happy with the final card.

The image is from Bloobel and is called Swimming Diver.  Check out Bloobel's Facebook page and blog to see her very cute images.

Coloured with copic pens, fussy cut and layered onto some Stampin Up patterned paper.  Small glittery shapes added.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge -Steampunk - 15/7/17

The Crafter's Cafe are having a Steampunk challenge this fortnight, the sponsors are;
Prize: 5 images
Prize 3 images
Prize: $10 voucher

I was able to play with a couple of images this fortnight and made some altered notebook covers, I usually keep this pretty simple and fairly flat as they go to children.  So here are a couple of light hearted Steampunk covers.

First is an image from Creative Bug called Mortimer  Manchester.  Mortimer is cover the circles and I have changed the ones on his torso to look like cogs.

Coloured with copic pens and fussy cut, his hat has been coloured and cut twice and layered.

The background is a grey cardstock, with a lattice diecut brown patterned paper on top. On the dark paper, and some parts I didn't push out, is supposed to be looking like some metal mesh)

Diecut cogs and pliers, covered with glossy accents complete the cover.

The next cover features "Steampunk Gerry" from DigiStamps4Joy.

Again coloured with copic pens and then fussy cut, layered onto diecut orange cardstock and patterned paper.   A cog, pliers and screwdriver die cuts (cover with glossy accents) complete the cover.

Digitally Made Challenge #3 - Summer - 3 July, 2017

Another Scrapbook page for my digital family album.

This is an old photo, can't remember when I was that thin (hmm 1973), the little fellow with all the dark hair is our first born, the little blonde girl was someone on the beach that wanted to play with him.
I have used pieces from Createwings Designs to create this page. Dawn was creating beautiful digital kits, but sadly at the moment they are not available.  Check out her facebook page
