NEW EASTER DIGITAL STAMPS AT ROBYN’S FETISH DIGITAL STAMPS AND MORE

We have some new images at Robyn's Fetish Store and More and they are available from 30th March, so go over and check out these cute images.  Just in time for your Easter/Spring projects.

Warning this Post is Photo Intensive - the only way I could explain what I have done

I was very lucky and received 4 separate images to play with.
Betty Owl
Shopping Owl
Spring Cart
Pettunia Bunny

The images have all been coloured with Copic pens and have glitter, glitter gel and liquid pearls added.

On the front of the card I have used my PSE to combine all four of the images, the 2 cute owls, the Spring cart and yes the bunny is there peeking around the flowers to see what is happening.  Scallop cut the image and mounted it on polka dot patterned paper.

To make this card, I used a step card, but cut of the little step so I was left with a normal card with one extra flap.  On one side I wrote a poem and the other side I put the bunny, she has been making the easter eggs.

 But wait there is more!
Where has that Bunny gone?

Here is the outside of the whole card
Nothing up my sleeve!  In fact I have stuck a magnet under the flap (it is completely hidden) and a magnet to the back of the bunny, so a card that brings a little gift as well.

Our Sponsor this week is

http://dragonsmoore.blogspot.com/
PRIZE: the winner’s choice of 5 digital stamps from
DRAGONSMOORE, SPYDER’S OTHER CORNER STORE

This was a fun scene to create with, called "Easter Egg Hunting Kitty Scene", I don't usually colour a full scene but thought I would try this time, I have coloured the image using copic and touch pens, with gel pens for the eggs.  I fussy cut out the sky area and place cloud paper behind the image, which has given the image some depth on the card.

Time to Travel - Time for A Journal

I'm going on holidays real real soon, I have found the best way to remember an amazing holiday is not only with photos but with a Holiday/Art/Junk Journal.  There will be daily diaries, photos, bits and pieces on info stuck in and drawings etc.  My journals are handmade and hand bound.

The cover for this journal has been made from canvas, primed with gesso, and then decorating with acrylic and water paints, texture paint, stamps, doodles, my drawings. flowers, buttons and a plaited emrboidery cord.

Closed showing front flap
Open showing front with my Hibiscus Drawing
Back with my Palm Tree Drawing
With the journal fully open showing the whole cover.
Here is one of the double pages I have prepared for my journal.  I do not profess to being a stamper, in fact it is not something I really like doing, probably because I never seem to get a clear print, but I do have stamps and ocassionally use them, this was one such time.  A number of different stamps have been used to create the scene.  I have also used a micropen and a sharpie for some details.  The vine in the middle has been created by colouring the binding with the sharpie.

Easter with A Day for Daisies

Pet Lamb for Easter is an image from A Day For Daisies.  Coloured with Copic pens in soft pastel colours mounted with 3d tape.

The backgound has been created with a piece of Polka Dot designer paper which has been stamped with a rubber multi flower stamp, ready for diecutting, instead I used it for the background and then added some of the diecut flowers from another sheet of paper on top.

For the centres of the flowers I used some lemon kiddy glitter and while it was wet added some antique gold glitter, I was really surprised at the result, and I love it, will definitely be on my to do list more often.

Polka Dooodles

I've used pieces from the "Cherry Blossom Lane "CD to create a digital layout for my Winter Vacation Getaway, because if it is winter then I'm getting away from it and heading for the sun.  I've used two of the back grounds from the CD and blended them into one scene, adding trees, flowers, birds, with bunnies cycling and sailing.   The words at the bottom of the layout are from Cliff Richard's Song "Summer Holiday"

Baby Card

The cute imagfes on my baby card are from Beccy's Place, called "Quilted Chicken, Horse and Cow, they come separately as freebies on her blog.

The easiest way to describe what I have done with each image is to say they have been coloured with Copic pens and then I have doodled over the images.  Any lines that are black are on the original image and are part of Beccy's illustration.  Any lines/doodles that are coloured are mine.  Fussy cut and layered with 3d tape.

I have made a silk creen card, using different designer patterned papers, putting the images on the face side, with stickers on the backside.  I used a punch for the top of the card and diecuts to create the legs, the sentiment label and for the butterflies.

I purposely steered away from clearly blue or pink, but have used both those colours plus lots of other pastel shades to create this card. I do know someone expecting a baby later this year and I am one of those people that does not want to know if it is a boy or a girl until the baby is born.  I think this is cute enough for either.

Crafters Cafe # 107 - Recipe

Hi everyone, we are midway through our weekly challenge at The Crafter's Cafe.  This week the challenge is a recipe.  1 Image, 2 Designer Papers and 3 elements.

My card features a very cute image from Rick St Dennis called Debbie.  Coloured with Copic and Touch Pens, fussy cute, layered on 2 DPs, with three mauve buttons added for the elements.

This card is for my daughter's birthday next week, perfect, she is currently in a compression boot having broken her foot a few weeks ago and is longing for her pretty shoes.  Check out what Debbie is looking at on my card, yes cute shoes.  Sometimes things just fall into place and this card was one of those times, Perfect Image, the right paper. Can't wait to see my daughter's face when she opens this one.
