An Irish Blessing

This little gnome is my favourite, you can find it at Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More Store.  He is simply called "Gnome".  I have used him so many times, this time I have placed him sitting on a brick wall, apple tree behind him and a wishing well with some gold to the side.

The gnome has been coloured with copic pens, gold buckle, shiny shoes (thanks to glossy accents).  That also gave my apples  bright shiny skins.

May you always have a Clean Shirt
A clear Conscience,
and enough coins in
your pocket to buy a Pint

The image is also this month's image challenge. Both images have been coloured with copic pens, the sentiment inside the card is one of the ones I previously mentioned.  Corner cut card and die cut welcome sentiment completes the card.

Brown Sugar #190 - Spring - 18/03/2016

Our Sponsor this week at Brown Sugar Challens is
Star Stampz
https://www.etsy.com/shop/StarStampz

I chose Spring Bumble Bee for my small card.  I will definitely be making some more cards this size 3.5 inches square.  I bought some envelopes on line, but accidently clicked on the wrong size.   Now I am happy I did because they are just the right size for these great diecuts from the Frantic Stamper that I was lucky enough to win a while back.

The image has been coloured with Copic pens and then diecut with a stitched square die.  The green patterned paper has been cut with a large stitched die.  Mounted onto yellow cardstock, with some small flowers and leaves in the corner.

Robyn's Fetish Challenge # 306 - Tags 6 March,2016

Our sponsor for this week is
KPM DOODLES
PRIZE: the winner’s choice of 2 sets from the KPM DOODLES STORE

I love the KPM doodles, always cute and you get a set of images to play with, this set is called "Kitten Stamps"

This card was one of those projects that started out as something totally different to what I had originally in my mind.  I printed and coloured with copics the 6 kitten stamps and cut them into tags, but I wasn't really happy with the way they looked.

A couple of days later I bought a craft magazine that included what looked like a cute tag die.  When I got home and used the die, I was pleasantly surprised with the stitching indentations, they really made the die special.

I looked at my kitten tags, where the kittens looked small.  Deciding to try the small tag die I ended up with big kittens on small dies, and that brought them into focus.

In the same magazine was a card for holding tags, so I used that idea, changed it a bit to come up with my tag card.

Hop over and check out all the other tag ideas from the Design Team

Cass Creating Now Tutorial - Gift Bags - 4 March, 2016

Gift Bags
The quickest and simplest Gift Bags

Supplies
Scoreboard
Edge Punch
Small Hole Punch
Tape
I have used Envelope Paper  but you can use card stock.  Your bags will just be stiffer.
Each bag requires 1 piece of paper/card stock 8 x 11.5 inches
Embellishments - Doily; Ribbon
Images I have used "New Bunny Dress," " Priscilla's Thanksgiving" and "Randy Valentines Boy." All of these can be found at Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More Shop.

You need to score the long side at 1/2;  2; 6 and 7.5 inch marks
Turn to short side and score at 1.5 inch mark

(Tip: if you want to change the size of this bag, just remember that your short side score mark is the same measurement as the narrowest side of the bag - in this case 1.5 inches)

Once scored, crease all folds.

The 1/2 inch fold is the tab.  Cut off below the bottom scoreline
and cut an angled piece from the bottom of the tab.

Cut along the score lines from the bottom to the 1.5 score line on all folds.

Place tape on two short bottoms and one long bottom, also along the tab.  See photo.

Attach the tab to the other end. The bottom pieces will start to fold themselves at this stage.  The order is the larger end that has no tape, then the two short ends. In the picture below you can see the last long end with the tape is ready to fold down.

Here are three bags after the bottoms have been taped down

There are many ways to complete the bags. You can also pinch the sides to give the bag a different shape.

For this bag, I scallop punched the top and folded it over before I stuck down the sides. It has been left open with a bow and image attached.  Chocolates for my Love in this bag.

This bag has pinched sides, 2 small holes punched, ribbon threaded
through bag and tag and tied off in a bow to close the top and an image added. It might be nice to have some cookies in here.

This bag also has pinched sides and has been closed with tape on a doily.  I printed the image twice in mirror and placed both on the bag.  I'm thinking Easter Eggs.

Hope you enjoy making some bags for gifts and treats.

Crafter's Cafe #144 Inspired by a Song - 01/03/2016

Four great sponsor this fortnight at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog.

I got to play with two very cute images, the first from Lacy Sunshine " Caroline and Millie", coloured with copic pens, added some ribbon, flowers and diecuts to complete my "I love My Dog - Cat Stevens card.

I love my dog as much as I love you
But you may fade, my dog will always come through.
All he asks from me is the food to give him strength
All he ever needs is love and that he knows he'll get
So, I love my dog as much as I love you
But you may fade, my dog will always come through.
All the pay I need comes shining through his eyes
I don't need no cold water to make me realize that
I love my dog as much as I love you
But you may fade, my dog will always come through.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, nana...
I love my dog as much as I love you
But you may fade, my dog will always come through.
Na, na, na, na, na, na, nana...
I love my dog, baby, I love my dog. Na, na, na...
I love my dog, baby, I love my dog. Na, na, na...
Songwriters: STEVENS, CAT
