Cas Christmas Card

This is one of my favourite images, can be found at Robyn's Fetish Store.  Called "I'm melting for you"

I have printed the image and the sentiment straight onto the card and coloured it with copic pens.  The snowman's hat has been printed again, coloured and fussy cut, layered with 3d dimensions.

Greetings from Samoa

My Daughter and her family have recently been in Samoa, they had a wonderful time, with lots of pampering and experiences.  This page was made for her.

I followed a sketch from Sketches in Thyme and the pieces I made are from Magical Reality kits, Deep in the Woods and Midnight Dreams.  Check out Katherine's gorgeous design HERE, I'm not sure if what I used is still available but she has many other gorgeous kits.

One for Mum

This months progressive challenge image at Outlawz is from Beccy's Place, called Spring Window.   Check out her store HERE.  Wonderful Australian Digital Artist.

I love working with little windows and collage, this window was ideal. The card stock is from Stampin Up, I made the handmade paper and the image was printed three times.  Once on designer paper and twice on white card.

For the base image on the designer paper, I coloured the bricks, window frame, glass and branch with copic pens.  I hand embossed the bricks (but you cant notice it in the photos)

For the Branch and Flowers - For the First layer I coloured and then fussy cut and layered with 3d dimensions.    Next layer I coloured and fussy cut some of the flower clusters and again layered with 3d dimensions - I then added some little papers flowers.

For the little vase on the s\window sill, I coloured and fussy cut, added some diecuts and another little flower.  A stamped/punched tag completes the card.

This photo taken to show the shadows of the different layers.

I have used lots of different greens on the card, made a pocket on the front, which hold a tag with and Irish Limerick.  There is also another limerick inside the card.

Time to Tee Off

This card is something like a dutch fold.  The image is from Di's Images -"Snails Tee". A great image for a golfer.

The image had been coloured with copic pens and die cut, mounted on to green cardstock which has to little wings, when closed, they show a little flowery border, when opened they show grass.  So depending on how you want to open and stand the card, he can be teeing off on the green OR he is caught in the rough.

In Your Easter Bonnet.....

I don't know if you have caught up with Bloobel's Facebook Page.  She has a wonderful progressive monthly challenge and a monthly digi subscription club.  check out the facebook page for all the details.

For this month's progressive challenge, the Bloobel images were from  the movie "Easter Parade" and we have to decorate hats.  This fell right into my lap.  A new page for my song book.  One of my favourite Movies, starring Judy Garland, one of my all time favourites and a song that I love.  "Now I have shown my age, haven't I"

I chose Easter Bonnet Judy and East Bonnet Fred.  Both coloured with copic pens and fussy cut.  I decided they would have matching hats and have decorated them with handmade flowers and leaves using Heartfelt stamps and dies and a little wooden butterfly.

Some background figures, lyrics and music score complete the page with some glitter and liquid pearls.  Judy, Fred and Flowers have been layered with 3d dimensions

Birthday Greetings

I've used 2 of my favourite childhood photos of my daughter for this layout.  Using pieces from Artisan Guild Designs called "Treasured Times".  Sadly I don't think they are around anymore, but I used to get a monthly digital kit and this is one of them.  (or at least a part of one of them)

My daughter has a milestone birthday this year and she doesn't want a celebration, instead she has gone on a holiday with her husband and their son.   So I have been making some pages to put on facebook so she knows we are celebrating.

The design came from Sketches in Thyme.  Always great and varied, love seeing each new sketch.

Spring Time

An ATC today, I am not making nearly enough of these, have to get more organised.  This one features an image called "A good mood" and is from Tory Tale.

Sadly where I live we have now entered Autumn, which is an absolutely gorgeous time of the year here, warm days, cool night and the leaves turn to the amazing colours.  But I would so much prefer I was entering into spring because that would mean summer is around the corner.

Katniss Sparkling

I am a big fan of the Hunger Games, have read the books and seen the movies.  There is just something about the resilience of the young people in the story that resonates hope for future generations.  The young will grow and take over one day, let's hope we have taught them well and helped them along the way.

The image on this card is from Sassy Designs and is called Katniss.  Coloured with copic pens, fussy cut, layered onto black cardstock, with a lot of different glitter products. (for anyone that is not familiar with Katniss, she is the main character and her beautiful gowns are made to appear on fire when she twirls.)

MHK Designs March Challenge

So very luck\y to have been asked to do a Guest Designer spot at MHK Designs.  I was given a photo for inspiration a wonderful stamp set, MHK Bunny Love and French Country papers.

The stamp set included three different images and 4 different sentiments, my card is featuring 2 of the images and one of the sentiments.  I have used 2 of The French Country Papers which consists of 18 different papers

I took my inspiration from the bunnies, window and flowers in the photo.  The little mushroom was added so that I could match up some red from the photo.

The little rabbit on the front of the card, has been printed 3 times, one copy coloured and gittered, then all 3 copies glued together to make a chipboard style element.  A window die has been used on the front of the card, The frame has been printed with one of the French Country Papers.  Some patterned paper for the heart edging.  Lots of flowers, leaves and butterflies together with a stamped sentiment completes the front of the card.

When you open the card, the inside has one of the stamp sentiments and another of the images, also coloured with copic pens.  The background is one of the French Country papers.
I wonder how others interpreted the photo, hop on over and check them out at:

# 168 Crafters Cafe CAS

Two great sponsors at The Crafter's Cafe this week:

POLKADOODLES

Prize: $15 digi voucher

and

CREATIVE BUG
Prize 5 stamps

My cards have been created with images from Creative Bug. Happy Dance and Cool Bunny

 Happy Dance
For my Happy Dance card, I printed the image on white cardstock twice.  Once with the words Happy Birthday and the other image I coloured with copic pens and fussy cut, leaving the musical notes out, then layered the coloured image on top of the non coloured image, that way the notes are clearly seen.  I then added a diecut to the top of the card.

Cool Bunny
For Cool Bunny, I added some extra palings and typed the word Greetings with the heart onto the palings, coloured with copic pens and fussy cut.  Layered onto distressed pink cardstock with double sided tape, the ears have been lifted with dimensions.  Little flower and bow coCraft Your Passion - Anything Goesmpletes the card.
