DSC May Challenge - April Showers bring May Flowers

****************************NEWS FLASH************************

Digitally Sweet have gone to monthly challenges.
Challenges will commence the 1st of each month, May will run from 1st - 30th May.

 Our first monthly sponsor is
Imagine That

For the month of May we got to play with 3 different sets from Imagine That. They all come with precoloured images as well as digi stamps for you to colour and lots and lots of sentiments.  I decided to use the precoloured versions and there is a bit of every set in this card.

The sets are called:
Ladybug/Daisies Planter
Lily's Flowers
Sunny Days

I have created this card from one A4 size card sheet.  The backgrounds are from Retro Designs "Daisy Kit" You can find her designs HERE

Once I had the backgrounds in place, I started adding the "Imagine That" images to create 3 separate panels. to create little scenes.  One set has rain drops, I have made them small so that they are coming from the watering can.  A different sentiment has been added to each panel.

When I was happy with the design, I printed out the sheet, scored between the panels and cut off the extra paper that was not required.  I then cut out 2 of the suns and one flower again, have a look below for the 3d effect.

This photo is showing the printed page which I have then scored.

Then I did some paper piecing, sun has been printed again and fussy cut, added to front of card with 3d squares.

But wait there is more, another paper pieced sun.
To finish off I paper pieced the round flower by cutting along the line and creating a spiral.

Wow, this is fantastic Cass!! I really love that you took time to fussy cut each item, it really does POP off the card and it's so bright and cheery. There's such an amazing difference between the cut-out digis and the purely digital cards. I Love it!! :) Happy to be this month's sponsor. xx Kris
