And for the last challenge of the year you choose, any Christmas card or New Year project. I've stayed with the Christmas theme using Bugaboos "Tree", coloured with Copic pens and then diecut and layered onto patterned paper and cardstock.
I've tried keeping a lot of the cards this year, simple and flat, not only easier to post but cheaper also.

CHNC Christmas #417
This week use the Word Christmas on your Christmas project. I have been going through my stash lately and found this paper and diecut, I've added silver ribbon to complete the card.
Entered into:
Outlaw Festive Fridays - Christmas
Crafter's Castle - AG
The Corrosive Challenge - AG
Heartcraftpaper - AG
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - AG
Creative Inspirations - Feeling Festive
Path of Positivity - AG -optional metallics. Silver would be my favourite metal. I think I am drawn to the lack of colour in silver, the same as I prefer black and white photos to colour ones. Without the colour the true metal/subject of the photo shines through.

Happy Birthday fromThomas
I made this for a little 2 years olds birthday, he is a mad Thomas The Tank Engine fan, which is probably the same with all boys of that age.
I printed the background including the Fat Controller and sentiment, coloured trees, bushes, ground and the Controller with copic pens. The engines were colour printed and fussy cut, layered with 3d dimensions. The two balloons are diecuts with twine for the controller to hold.
Hope you like it, the little boy loved it.

Snowfamily Carolers Gift Box
Back with another gift box today. These have been so much fun to make.
I was very lucky to be the Blog challenge winner at Createful Heart in October. I won two beautiful images, that you will see in the coming weeks and was asked if I would like to be a Guest Designer for December.
I chose Snow Family for a Winter/Christmas theme. The image has been printed 4 times, two of the prints have been coloured with Copic, Little Tipsy and Shin Tan Art Touch pens, fussy cut and then attached to the two uncoloured images to give them strength to stand up.
I had nearly ran out of the paste I had previously used and instead used Leni Texture paste (2 problems, takes forever and a day to dry, ended up using a heat gun and it dries a brilliant white, which looks great but very hard to photograph, kept reflecting off all the elements). The last of the Stampin Up Embossing paste was used around the edges and flowers.
I have added a wooden Snowman, 25th sign and fences, together with a wire tree and an assortment of flowers. Kept with the mauve/purple theme as it's for someone who loves those shades.
I took approximatelyt 40 pictures of this box, the sun and texture paste were not doing me any favours. And of course, our little dog photo-bombed this one. She only stands about 7 inches, but manages to be in a lot of my photos.

The flowers, this is not my forte, but I was really proud of myself with this arrangement.

SPARKLE N SPRINKLE
I have used 2 images from Dr Digi and Xmas Pud, to redo my Christmas Pudding recipe in my Recipe Scrapbook Journal. And, just in time. I have been using this book for some years now and only just realised the pages are perforated for easy removal. Oops! the page came out, so I have typed up the recipe and created a new page in the recipe journal.
I have used Little Tipsy pens for colouring the images. Fussy cut and layered them onto the recipe page, which I have now reinforce for holly paper, bit of glitter and silver edging completes the double page.
The recipe is one both my Grandmothers used, they said they got it out of a paper. That would have to be at least 100years ago. Christmas just wouldn't be the same without this pudding.

All Dressed Up
Decided to do an Art Journal Page with "Butterfly Wings" from All Dressed Up". It is a glitter overload. I started the page when I wasn't feeling 100% and then my printer died and I had to go and buy a new one. You will see the type is crooked, that's me not putting the paper into the new printer correctly, By this stage I decided onward and upward, just keep going and something will work.
The background and parts of the image are painted with Fresco Finish Chalk Paints, then I've added some pencil, gel pen, copic pens, rub ons, tissue paper and glitter, lots of different glitters. Finished off with some glitter grass and mushrooms.

Gingerbread House
Decided to do a bit of mixed media today and make a little gingerbread house.
I made the little box with a sheet of Kraftcard and my Scorpal. The house measures 3 inches square around and is 6 inches tall.
Handmade some freckles (not sure what everyone else calls them, but in Australia they are a round chocolate button with hundreds and thousands on top.) I punched out 1 inch circles, added glue and then dipped them in some hundreds and thousands.
Now if you think glitter makes a mess, you haven't seen anything. Firstly I used 3 different glues (it was really hot and humid here today and things were not sticking as they should) in hindsight I should have used a texture paste or made some royal icing, maybe next year. I will be sweeping up and wiping away hundreds and thousand for days.
The house, once constructed has been covered with patterned paper. I have added a doily, die cut windows and door. pieces from my stash including some snowflakes, candy canes, lots of gems, snow and of course the freckles.

For my second Christmas card, I used Snow Posh from Creative Bug, the image had beautiful background shading, so I adjusted the Hue and Saturation, added a border and came up with a blue image. My favourite colour (and I usually shade snowmen with blue anyway,) so perfect, I also printed his scarf and hat a second time on Stampin Up patterned paper, fussy cut and added it to the image with 3d stickers. The holly has been coloured with copic pens and some glossy accents added to the berries. Silver sentiment and sticker completes this card.

Prize: 5 images
I've made two Christmas cards, the first one is with an image form paper Nest Dolls, called "Elf Ellie with Gifts " and I chose this image because the card is going to a little girl called Ellie.
I have printed the image twice (in mirror), coloured with copic pens and glitter, fussy cut and joined the images back to back and added some ribbon to make a little Christmas tree decoration. Then I made a card from Stampin-Up paper with a pocket to hold the image. Adding some glitter, ribbon and a sentiment to complete the card.
