For the past several years I have kept a yearly Junk Journal, where bits and pieces I come across through the year, film tickets, invitations, cards, newspaper clippings etc get glued into, could also be just something on my desk that is left over, in it goes. Probably more of a Smash /Gluebook. Some Mixed media and art finds its way into the pages as well.
This year I over thought the process and used a small children's book, it has worked but I think I need to rethink the process before I use an old book again, looks like a lot of washi tape about to be used or my go to, the paper bandage you can get from the chemist, either on plain white or decorate with paints, copics etc. Anyway, book is becoming fragile.
This page has been created with a piece of left over diecut (trellis), I used it as a stencil over and over for other projects as well, finished off on these pages and then glued it onto a small strip of a page that I have left in the book. When you open the page, the two top bats fly up.
The bats and Teddy came from a store called Robyn;s Fetish Store, now wadly closed. The images have been coloured with copic pens, the background is Acrylic Chalk Paints and yes a little strip of tape to make sure the pages don't go missing.
