Cowgirl Card

This card features a Cowgirl from the "Lil Cowpoke" Set from Imagine That.   There are precoloured and line drawings in the set.

I actually coloured the image sometime ago and entered her into a colouring challenge, and since then she has sat on my desk begging to be given a permanent home.

So here she is, on patterned paper from Stampin Up, some red flowers and small green gems from my stash.  The leaves are from a vine which you can find at Flourish with a Bling, I have just cut the leaves I wanted from the stem.

The image has been coloured with copic pens and fussy cut, attached with 3d squares.  The coloured and striped papers are from Stampin Up.   The stems, leaves and flowers are a die cut.  Firstly cut in different greens, then in yellow and red and I paper pieced the colours onto the green.  Liquid pearls for the centres.  The butterflies are 3d stickers and a glitter sentiment completes the card.

The Book Picture

Something a little different today, this is the first time I have tried this technique, not sure what it is called, I have seen it used to isolate different words on a page, thought that was way above any talent I had so, I looked through the mountaines of old books I have stored around the house and found this one.
Perfect for a first try.  The pictures were plenty and they were simply coloured sketches, which made it easy for my too roughly cut around.   First I found the pages that would work one on top of the other, that was left hand over left hand and right hand over etc.

I then started cutting away at the pages to make a 3d picture, the pages were stuck together with 3d squares.   I did not know what to do with the cut off pieces left in the spine, so covered them with some diecuts.  (not sure if I like that part yet or not.).  Lefthand page has 4 layters, right hand page has 7 layers.  Next time I would find a middle page for my top layer and work from there and not have to worry about the empty spine.

Prize 3 images no digi papers

I received "KittyBee " from Kitty Bee for my card this fortnight.  Keeping the front of the card plain, I printed the Happy Birthday sentiment in Triple Stamping (but I did it digitally), and used stitched square dies. to assemble the greeting.

I coloured the image with bright Copic colours and cut with the large stitched die.  Then used different coloured cardstock to mount the image inside the card.

And using Poppy from Lacy Sunshine.  This time I created the front of the card digitally and printed, then inside I added lots of colour.  Poppy has been coloured with Copic pens and fussy cut.

from the ROBYN’S FETISH DIGITAL STAMPS AND MORE STORE

The image I chose from Robyn's Fetish Store is called "Me Bloomers", which has been coloured with copic pens and fussy cut.

I painted a picture frame with acrylic paints, putting a typed message in the frame. Then I added some tiny pegs.  Sun, clouds and rain from "Flourish with a Bling".

I have used Modge Podge to coat the frame and the image, which made it stiff and stands out from the glass.

Poodle

Today I did some embossing,  yeah! I don't do it very often.  During a collage course a few years back, I can remember my teacher saying I always do narrative art, very rarely decorative.  In other words, not much very good with just patterns or pretty, I need to tell a story, need to use something, anything to tell a story..  So, what does that have to do with today's card?  I could use the embosser because this poodle, from Ike's World, called "Toy Poodle" needed curly fur. lol.

To get the poodle's fur, I printed and fussy cut the image first, then I ran it through a grid embossing folder and then again with a circle embossing folder.  Next came same bashing of the patterns with a shaping tool to give the patterns a more un-uniformed look.  (is that a word?.)

Next, I coloured the image with copic colours, more shading than colouring.   Added some flowers, pearls lace and of course a little bow.
