Pearly Sparkles Challenge, March 2019

It would be remiss of me not to mention Traci Law in this post, I answered her call for the DT at Pearly Sparkles and she was gracious enough to invite me to join.  My first challenge with Traci was back in January 2017.  Wow! 2 years ago.  Very sadly, Traci became ill late in December and passed away last month.  We all miss her and I especially miss hearing about her animals and their antics, she was a huge animal lover.

This month at Pearly Sparkles the theme is "Make it Girly"  Decided to stay away from the pinks for this one.  The image (I think) if an old magnolia one.  I was at a craft class, a long time ago, and this is the image we coloured with copics.

Image was stamped onto blending cardstock, then we drew lines for the top of the brick wall.  The bricks are made with copic pens, first colour the areas you wish to use, in this case I used a grey, and then using the colourless blender (wide nib) go along in roughly straight lines, the colourless blender lifts the paint off leaving little bricks.  Neat trick!

I have used a step card, firstly rubber stamping trees along the back, and then the bottom of the stamps along the lower front step placing the little girl and wall on the front.  Adding some flowers and grass around the edges.  A green butterfly completes the girls trip to the country to see the wild flowers.
