Crimbo Crackers Challenge # 52 - Christmas Birds 10 October 2013

I was thrilled to be asked to be a GDT for Crimbo Crackers this fortnight, the theme is Christmas Birds and I got to use Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamp "Gilded Christmas Dove"

I started out colouring the bird with Copic Pens, just 4 colours Y17, B05, G05 and R29, I also coloured the black outline around the bird with the red. Once finished I cut the bird out, painted it with Mont Marte Glitter Paint, Gold on the yellow and Crystal on the Blue, this gave both texture and markings to the bird, left to dry and it warped perfectly, the bird has a sort of wave through it.

Bling & Kindy Glitter on Bird

When it was dry I added bling and kindy glitter to other features

 Something that I don't do very often, I got some stamps out and stamped different swirls, flowers, words onto green cardstock for the card.  Added very fine white and gold glitter to highlight certain areas.

Because of the paint had warped and thickened the card, I only needed to add a strip of 3D tape vertically down the middle of the bird so it look like it was floating over the background

And final picture is the completed card, had a couple of problems with sun glare, but hey! it has been a long winter and I just relished being able to sit outside and take the pictures.
